Nahir, my current main. Her adventures began when she got kicked out of her family home and had to fend for herself. She became a reluctant Warrior of Light who feels more at ease with animals than people and wishes she could just go home to her wildlife hospital – but then who'll carry this burden?
Ash used to belong to the C tribe, who lived mainly aboard a ship. She set off into the world hoping to accomplish something valuable in her life and turned out to be a Warrior of Light. She tries to keep a strong façade and uplift everyone's spirits but sometimes it's not so easy.
Shion became a castaway and her family's only survivor when she ship she was traveling on from Kagune to Eorzea sank. She was adopted by Ilberd and later left for Sharlayan in pursue of knowledge because of her love for the world surrounding her, eventually becoming a gleaner.
Toki belonged to the Noykin tribe, which nurtured in him a great love for horses. As he set off to Eorzea, she does his best to pretend not to be a country girl, and spends most of her money trying to look fashionable. Loves creepy crawlies and hates open water.
Crow/Khyon'a grew up split between Gridania and a local Keeper tribe. This made him feel like an outsider in both places and he decided to find his own path in the world. He's a Summoner with the Echo who eventually becomes a Scion and has a passion for botany.
Narumi was born in Sui-no-Sato but doesn't remember it at all; they were raised in Doma, and the empire prevented them from going back. When they got older they fled to the Ruby Sea and became a pirate, joining Tansui's crew as a navigator and cook.
Ren is Narumi's half-brother, who never left Sui-no-Sato. He's eager to go out and explore, but to do so alone is far too dangerous – which is why learning about an older sister who's a pirate fills him with excitement.
May grew up in the Brume but was adopted and managed to become a student at the Scholasticate. However, when she found out what her fate was actually supposed to be, she fled the city, eventually joining the Crystal Braves and creating as much trouble as possible.
Helena is May's adopted sister, a fellow orphan of the Brume. She's a street painter in Ishgard and despite her talent she struggles to make ends meet. She worries about her younger sibling endlessly, especially since she left for Eorzea.
Phyra is half-Hyur, which makes her both stronger and slower than most Miqo'te. So she ditched the bow half of her family treasured and took up the lance instead. It allows her to make money from mercenary work, but her dream is to become a renowned tailor. She's Nahir's childhood friend.
Berude's parents were part of the Ura tribe but when she was a small child they were killed by members of an aggressive tribe. She ran away and was adopted by the Sagahl, who were passing nearby. She gains a great admiration for Ash and decides to leave with her.
Ava didn't want to keep living secluded in the forest and set out to explore. She happened upon a Sharlayan who convinced her to go to his nation to exchange knowledge, but when they evacuated to escape the empire she stayed behind to fight for freedom. She was involved in the events regarding Alexander and befriended Cid.
Fayne is the daughter of Ala Mhigan refugees and spent most of her life in Ul'dah. She hates fighting and violence, and enjoys writing poetry. While travelling to La Noscea in search of inspiration she met Ash, who she had a brief relationship with.
